The agent didn't do what you expected

Start by reading the transcript. What the agent actually said is usually more specific than what the caller reported.

It didn't know something

The agent only knows what you entered, so a gap in an answer is a gap in a field.

All of those except the last are on the Business tab.

It said you were open when you were closed

Almost always a missing closure. Your weekly hours say you're open on that weekday, and nothing told the agent about the holiday.

It quoted the wrong price

Check the service. If the price varies and the field is blank, the agent won't guess. If the field has a stale number in it, it will quote that confidently.

It offered something you don't do any more

Switch that service off under Business → Services. A disabled service doesn't reach the agent at all.

It gave an out-of-date answer

Your business information, services and Context are loaded when the call starts, so an edit during a call doesn't reach it until the next one. Hours and closures are different: those are read live, so a closure you add now applies to a call five minutes from now.

It misheard a name

Usually line quality. Fix the contact, which is what the agent will use next time. See your contacts.

It said it couldn't book

Does your plan include the calendar? Only Dialup Desk lets the agent book during a call. On After Hours and After Hours Plus it takes a message with a preferred time and says so, which is correct behaviour rather than a fault. Quick check: does the agent have a Calendar tab? Contacts are on every plan, so that tab isn't the tell.

Are there services, with durations, switched on? The agent books a service, because the service sets the duration. With none there's nothing to book; without a duration it doesn't know how much time to block; and a disabled service is invisible to it.

Is anything available? The agent only offers slots that pass your opening hours, any closure on that date, and the appointments already booked.

Did the caller give a name? It won't book for an anonymous caller.

Were they ringing from a different number? To move or cancel, the agent matches on the number they're calling from. Someone on another phone can't be matched and gets a message taken instead.

The Calendar tab isn't there

Only the Calendar tab depends on your plan. It comes with Dialup Desk, and an expired subscription takes it away until the subscription is active again.

A link straight to the calendar on an agent without one lands on Conversations instead. That's the app resolving a tab that isn't available, not an error.

After any fix, ring the agent and ask the same question. Thirty seconds, and you know whether it worked.
