Your account

Account in the sidebar holds what belongs to you. Everything else belongs to an agent, and each agent keeps its own:

Business information, hours, closures, servicesThat agent's Business tab

Security is where you change your email and password. Your email address is also where every notification goes, so changing it moves your call summaries and subscription emails with it. It doesn't change any agent's notification phone number.

If you signed in with Google you have no Dialup password, and the email address can't be changed without one. Set one through Forgot password on the sign-in page first.

The app's language is your interface, not the language your agent speaks to callers. That's set per agent in its Context field, so you can run the app in English while your agent answers callers in Latvian.

Separately from your cookie preferences, Dialup records calls and stores transcripts, summaries and contact details. Whether and how you need to tell your callers that depends on your business and your obligations, and it's worth deciding before you forward your main number rather than after.

Running more than one agent

Nothing limits you to one agent. A second one earns its keep when the business is genuinely different:

  • Two locations, with different addresses, hours and services
  • Two languages, one agent greeting in Latvian and another in English
  • A campaign number, kept separate from your main line so you can see what it produced
  • Two kinds of call, with bookings on one number and enquiries on another

Almost everything is separate between agents: phone number, business information, hours, closures, services, Context, contacts, calendar, conversations, subscription and plan, notification phone and digest setting. What's shared is your account, meaning sign-in, email, interface language, theme, and the Billing page that lists them all.

The cost is a subscription each. They can be on different plans, so a busy booking agent on Dialup Desk alongside a quiet enquiries agent on After Hours is a normal setup.

Don't create a second agent just for a second service. Services live within one agent, and splitting them means maintaining two copies of your business information. Split when the business is genuinely different, not when the service list is long.
